Tales from Socialist Lane

Hey guys,
I decided after much deliberation to start my own blog today. Make no mistake, this will not be necessarily a political blog so much as an Andre blog, meaning that the contents are whatever's bumping around in my head that particular day/week (i'm gonna try to keep this weekly, but we'll see what happens with that). With that said, let's roll...

A lot of people think they know me. Without sounding too pretentious, I can safely say they're wrong. I'm a human Rubik's cube, made up of a lot of very very different tiles. Here's my basic story. I was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, to my mother, who is some combination of mother and superhero. Anyway, most of my family ties on my mom's side lie on Cape Breton Island, and i guess that's why I've always had an affinity for the place. When I was 6, I moved with my mom and stepdad to southern Ontario, where I've lived ever since. In '01 my parents were married, and in '04 my sister Skylar was born. Im a high school student, and an introvert. Strange that i got into politics being that way, no?

Not really. My family's pretty strong NDP and has been for generations, and my aunt's a candidate for the NS provincial NDP. That was my attraction to the party originally, and once I studied it a bit, I realized it was the only party I could ever call home. I've always felt that while the other parties just seem to be a group of people that believe in the same thing, the NDP is very much a family.

Getting away from that, my non-scandal inducing interests are pro wrestling, reading, writing, music, and college football (GO SPARTANS!!!!!). We may explore more of these issues at a later date. And, of course, if you wanna hear me on a certain topic/thing, comment or pm me and i'd be happy to talk about it.

In closing...Normal...no...Crazy....yes...Socialist...ABSOLUTELY!!!
