Update

So, you want something to blog about? How about them university applications? You guys who are in the same boat as me know what it's about. Lucky me, I have the added twist of being a musician, and having to do all these applications for auditions, references for auditions, scheduling of auditions, and, you know, auditions. Expect to hear me talk about that for a while, because that's pretty much what entails my life at this point.
Oh yeah, CYA.
Well, it was great to see so many of you out at the Richtree in Toronto over the holidays; those of us who were there can tell you that it was a great time, and a good opportunity for everyone in the GTA to meet each other. Check out the forums for discussion about our impending conference, which we hope to host in the near future with the intention of garnering support and attention.
As Landry said in her blog, we've secured funding, and, as Tyler said in his, we now have a bank account. Ooh, look at us, big kids with the banking and the money. This is good news for us, because, as you all know, since we're now a legitimate incorporated not-for-profit organization, we can now do important monetary-related things, like buying stuff, or, more importantly, receiving donations. If you know of any grants or bursaries that we can apply for, be sure to let Allison, our CFO, or anyone on staff know.
On my end, I sit around all day, neglecting my homework, and reading every single post anyone ever puts on our forums. Let me assure you, I potentially think this is probably a good thing, maybe. I've been looking into media of communication for meetings, and other outreach sources for making the interaction between members easier and more efficient. Please, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any suggestions or comments (my email address is in about a thousand places on this site, or you can use the contact form at www.cya-ajc.ca/contact).
As well, as the chief communications person between the membership and the staff, feel free again to contact me if you have any questions or comments regarding your membership, the way the membership is structured, or anything that would fall under my lovely Human-Resources blanket (it's fleece).
Sorry for the bad humor, I haven't slept much.
I look forward to posting more things that nobody will read in the near future, so that they can be successfully lost in the endless world of cyberspace (every blog's fantasy).
Stay classy,
Jason
